Meadow Ranch Retreat
. . . way out in the beautiful
middle of nowhere
We are one kilometer above sea level on
a high plateau in British Columbia's Cariboo Chilcotin. It's beautiful
all year round with four very distinct seasons. Come and enjoy the quiet and simplicity of 'the middle of nowhere'
- where the coyotes howl, moose wander in the meadow and
the phone never rings (because there isn't one.)
Share quiet
moments with the critters who wander the creek and listen to the
sounds of the Northern Lights as they sweep across the night
sky. The big house (that's our place) is where the meals are
cooked. You will be welcome to join us around the wood cook stove in our
kitchen for your meals or to retire to your cabin with dinner in hand. We have
satellite internet in our home which our guests are welcome to
use. Currently 'guests' are our family and friends but if you are
interested in a getaway ~ just let us know.
Your private cabin comes complete
with linen, wash basin, electric light and lots of 'simple
comforts'.
Inside dimensions of the little log cabin are 8 X 10 ft.
There is 5 feet of
covered front porch. The log cabin has two windows, one on the main
floor and one in the sleeping loft. The building is tight and insulated ~ it stays deliciously cool in the summer and, with
the tiny heater, stays toasty warm on cold winter days. Your log
cabin retreat, overlooking the meadows, sits on a private knoll surrounded by
willow & trees.
Our second cabin complete with wood cook
stove can accommodate two people very comfortably or a couple with a young
child.
Enjoy cross country skiing, hiking,
fishing, photography, star gazing, drawing, painting, writing or simply soak up the peace and quiet and rejuvenate your soul.
